Gaverne Bennett is a teacher, social worker and creator of timelines. He has taught in a number of schools in East London, often working with students with special educational needs and helping children in pupil referral units get back into mainstream education. He has created award-winning timelines for The Guardian, the Institute of Technology and Engineering and the British Library, on subjects ranging from Black literature to Black history and Black scientists. He has recently completed an MSc in Social Work, with distinction and now combines social work with research. In this podcast, he talks about confidence, the power of curiosity and the importance of bringing history alive.
